What would you tell your 14 -year -old self?

You’re going to be ok. Don’t believe everything that everyone says about you or what you say about yourself when you’re down. Love is the key and you can choose love. 

What is your greatest challenge and how did you overcome it?

I’m currently living through that right now. My husband of 46 years had a heart attack on May 1st. He had to go through surgery. He was doing so well afterwards, having gone plant-based and losing 15 pounds. He made a lot of positive changes, only for doctors to discover that he had lung cancer.

It has been a roller coaster of emotions. It’s a daily struggle dealing with phone calls and tests, trying to figure out what everything means, and the constant fear of losing your beloved. While also not knowing the severity of the cancer and if it would be fast or slow moving. We had to come to a place of surrender and leave it in God’s hands.
