Always be your authentic self and whatever you do, OWN IT. Never be ashamed of who you are, your past and your dreams - we are all built uniquely.  Our differences and experiences are the very characteristics that allow us to share and connect to others. So with everything that you do, every decision you make, whatever outcome, Own It. Own It because that is what makes you, You.

Share tips on how you celebrate yourself.

I love being with friends and family, and spending time with them is one way I treat myself. We eat, talk, and their company fills me, renews and reinvigorates me as we share life.  I also love the occasional shopping splurge, taking actual vacations, or spa time.

What would you tell your 14-year-old self?

Before you make a decision, think things through, but don't worry too much because everything always works out the way it's supposed to.  Accept the challenges in life - don't fight it, because it only makes it harder.  Go through it, and know that in the end, you will be better, smarter and stronger because of it. Have faith in what God has prepared for you and stand firm on Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

What was your greatest challenge and how did you overcome it?

Since high school, Life has challenged me continuously, so, I overcome challenges by facing it head on, be adaptable and just go through it.

What is the best advice you have been given?

Take life as it comes. If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you. Own It.
