My 3 children, Zach (32), Olivia (30) and Sebastian (28) are the lights of my life.. They are my most important achievement. I have been happily married to Jim for 35 years. I am an avid golfer, hiker and I love my yoga practice. Anyone who knows me knows that I love English Cocker spaniels and animals in general.

What are your thoughts on aging? I really love being 57. As we age we gain wisdom, insight and confidence that we can share with others. We can live more fully on our own terms as we stop being so obsessed with how others view us.

What wonderful things can younger women look forward to at your age? Younger women and girls, might think that it's scary getting older. Let's inspire them! Getting older is a privilege not everyone gets so embrace every birthday.

Share tips on how you celebrate yourself, what you do for fun, and self care. Almost every Saturday night that we are on Island my husband and I have a standing reservation at Merriman's in Kakaako. We always sit outside so that we can bring our dog, Tessa with us. She is much more popular than us so it's now a requirement that she comes along. The food is consistently delicious, the service is great and there is always a great ambience.

Share one experience/story. We all have life struggles. But the big share is how did you over come and lift yourself up? Advice to other women to empower them. We all have our share of difficulties as we go through life. I have truly learnt that time heals and we have to give ourselves compassion and grace to take the time we need.

How is your age group relevant? We are under represented but one of the most powerful and influential demographics: I find that women in their 50's are popping up everywhere and doing amazing things. Not only do they look great but there are so many power players in this age group. 

Twenty years from now, when you look at these portraits we took together, what do you think you will say to yourself? I will obviously not look the same but I really hope I feel the same!
