Registered Nurse

I am a proud mother of 4 beautiful beings. 3 of my adult children and my only grandchild are living on the Mainland. And in a couple of years my youngest will graduate from high school, then go to college on the mainland. I am so proud of their accomplishments and their ability to live and thrive.

I was in my 30’s, a single mother of 3, when I finally got into the Nursing Program. It took about 6 years for me to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. And I was 8 months pregnant to my youngest at my Nursing Graduation Ceremonies. Despite the challenges and hardships, I hope I’ve taught my kids the importance of honor, integrity, and grit, setting a powerful example of what it takes to reach your long term goals. I’ve been a Registered Nurse for the past 15 years now.

I faced my share of losses and disappointments but the death of my brother was one of the most devastating experiences of my life. He was born with a terminal illness which thrusted me into caregiver role at a young age. Watching the emotional and physical challenges he went through was what ultimately led me to become a nurse. Turning my pain into a purposeful act of loving service.
